Automatic Sediment Filters
Sediment filters are used to reduce solid particulates transported by a fluid. In a water these particles may be rust flakes from the water pipes, sand grains, or numerous other solid particles. A sediment filter acts as a sieve to remove these particles. The important thing to keep in mind about sediment filters is that they reduce sediment. They don’t remove chemicals or heavy metals or make the water taste or smell better.
Cartridge filters are designed to trap sand, sediment or silt in the water. The size of the sediment being removed is sized in microns. Depending on the size micron of the particle there are different types of filter inserts available. Cartridge filter housings are available in many sizes to accommodate any flow rate.
